When did you feel the most friction in your daily work with the previous HR system?
The previous HR system made it hard to improve screens or modify logic on modern browsers. The menu structure was complex and not intuitive, so work was inefficient and we lost a fair amount of time. It was also a burden that new policies could not be reflected in the system in real time.
What was the decisive reason you ultimately chose hunel?
hunel had a great deal of experience building systems for the financial sector, which earned our trust, and we felt it handled domestic regulations well. The flexibility to customize it to a bank's specific situation was also an important factor. As system maintenance kept getting harder, what we liked most was that it could respond immediately to new HR policy changes.
After moving to hunel, what changed the most in your day-to-day work as an HR manager?
In the past, many tasks required working across several system screens, but now a wide range of work is handled on a single screen, so the process flow is far smoother. The biggest change is that the time spent looking for data has been cut sharply, letting us focus on the actual work itself.
| Before | After |
| Incompatible with modern browsers and a complex menu structure | Redesigned with an intuitive UI, with HR tasks unified on a single screen |
| Hard to reflect regulatory revisions in real time, with manual compliance checks | Compliance framework built in, with manual work reduced through automated compliance checks |
| Moving between systems and losing time when using HR data | Faster data lookup and report writing through the dashboard and talent search |
| Difficult to accommodate HR policy advancement, with limited customization flexibility | Flexibly accommodates job and competency based HR policies through finance specific customization |
| Persistent human risk due to limited management of detailed criteria | Human risk minimized through enhanced validation |
How was it actually using features like the dashboard and talent search?
Thanks to the dashboard and talent search features, we can now find the right person quickly, and the time needed to prepare various reports has been greatly reduced. Being able to manage detailed criteria across administrative tasks, so we can respond immediately to a variety of changes, and minimizing operational risk through enhanced validation were benefits we clearly felt as well.
If a financial company of a similar size were considering upgrading its HR system, what kind of company would you recommend hunel to?
I would strongly recommend it to any company that struggles with labor issues, changes driven by regulatory revisions, or advancing its HR system because of an aging system. I think it is an especially good fit for financial institutions where customization to the organization is essential.
Is there anything you would like to say to HCG, who carried out the project with you?
They understood the nature of the financial sector well and carefully reflected our requirements, so I felt they were a dependable partner throughout the entire build.
