No More All-Nighters in Performance Review Season — AI Turns HR Teams into Strategists

As the first-half performance review season arrives, technology that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to lighten the overwhelming workload of corporate HR teams has entered full commercialization.

 

K-HR tech leader Human Consulting Group (HCG) announced on the 28th that the 'AI Feedback Analysis' feature embedded in its HR SaaS solution talenx can serve as the go-to solution for review season.

 

Performance review periods are considered one of the busiest times of the year for HR professionals. An enormous range of tasks piles up—from setting review groups to aggregating results and preparing executive reports. In particular, organizing and analyzing hundreds of descriptive feedback entries has long relied on manual work.

 

HCG's AI Feedback Analysis feature tackles this challenge head-on. AI automatically classifies text-based peer and supervisor feedback as positive, negative, or neutral, extracts key keywords, and visualizes them in a word-cloud format. HR managers no longer need to spend the night reading and summarizing feedback for reports—just a few clicks reveal the overall evaluation trend.

 

 

The arrival of this technology signals more than work efficiency—it foreshadows a shift in HR's role. As AI takes over repetitive data-processing tasks, HR professionals gain the bandwidth to focus on higher-value strategic initiatives such as talent development and organizational performance management. This establishes the foundation for a fair and transparent, data-driven performance culture.

 

HCG plans to unveil additional AI-based features during the second half of the year, including an 'Executive AI Evaluation Summary Report' that automatically summarizes individual review results and an 'AI Talent Session Report' that automatically generates materials required for promotion and assignment decisions. This signals a broader era in which AI supports critical talent-related decisions beyond evaluation.

 

Already used by more than 58,000 employees across approximately 85 domestic companies, talenx is accelerating its AI-feature expansion this year. HCG filed a patent for AI-based sentiment analysis technology in March and established the AI×HR R&D Center in April, ramping up its technology investments.
