Human Consulting Group (CEO Jaehyun Park, hereinafter HCG), a leading AI × HR tech company, announced on June 4 that it has successfully built its flagship HR solution, hunel, for the Korean Red Cross.
HCG had been carrying out the Korean Red Cross HR system rebuild project since July last year. Reflecting the organization's diverse structures and work arrangements across its Blood Services Headquarters, medical centers, and head and branch offices, HCG restructured its HR, compensation, and service management frameworks. The company also advanced the organization's e-HR operating system through internal system integration, strengthened information security, and a web-standards-based implementation that complies with government guidelines.
This Korean Red Cross project is a hunel rebuild case that reflects the complex organizational structure and specialized operational requirements of a large public institution. Stable, established data and operational areas were rapidly upgraded and migrated, while resources were concentrated on functions of high practical importance—such as institution-specific time, attendance, and payroll management—to improve operational convenience. In particular, drawing on its continuous system management experience, HCG clearly identified enhancement tasks and advanced core functions, raising user satisfaction.
hunel, the HR solution developed in-house by HCG, is a system optimized for large-scale HR management at major corporations and groups, the financial sector, and public institutions. With 43% of major domestic financial institutions operating in tightly regulated environments and 38% of large public institutions choosing hunel, the solution has proven its stability and expertise.
hunel integrates the entire spectrum of HR operations—organization and job management, HR, payroll, attendance, performance, training, and recruitment—and responds flexibly to regulatory changes such as the 52-hour workweek, the Labor Standards Act, and tax law. It has also strengthened its personal data protection framework by obtaining credible domestic and international security certifications including ISMS and ISO/IEC 27001. More recently, HCG has been continuously expanding data analytics and AI-driven automation features, and plans to sequentially add capabilities such as AI talent search, an AI HR dashboard, and AI agents for performance, attendance, payroll, and year-end tax settlement to further raise the level of HR operations automation.
Youngman Kim, Group Head of HCG's Package BG, said, "This project focused on improving functional satisfaction by precisely reflecting the Korean Red Cross's HR operations and work environment," adding, "We will continue to support HR digital transformation based on hunel's broad extensibility and stable operational capabilities."
Meanwhile, HCG continues to expand its service footprint in the public sector, building on its experience constructing HR systems for major public institutions including Korea Southern Power, the National Health Insurance Service, the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and the Korean Red Cross.
