AI × HR tech company Human Consulting Group (HCG) announced on the 5th that it has successfully completed the e-HR system modernization project for iM Bank. More than a simple system replacement, the project is drawing industry attention as a signal that conservative financial-sector HR systems are shifting to an AI-based digital environment.
Using its solution hunel, HCG fully overhauled iM Bank's legacy system, which had been in use for more than 17 years. The project was a high-difficulty undertaking that had to satisfy the financial sector's stringent security standards and complex operating processes. Kicking off in November 2024, the initiative went through 10 months of implementation and two months of stabilization, focused on removing the aging system and implanting a modern HR environment capable of data-driven decision-making.
At the heart of the modernization are data-structure innovation and mobile transformation. HCG reorganized the core HR domains—organization and job data, HR records, attendance, and payroll—while migrating the massive legacy data without loss. It is also notable that previously PC-bound tasks such as leave requests and payroll inquiries have been extended to mobile, dramatically improving employee accessibility.

Industry observers view this win as cementing HCG's lead in the financial-sector HR market. Financial-sector systems are notoriously hard to break into due to strict security regulations and complex business rules. HCG has built a track record by winning major financial projects, including Hana Bank, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, Hyundai Motor Securities, and KB Securities. Deploying specialists with deep financial-sector experience and adhering to a principle of resolving issues within five days have proven effective in earning the trust of traditionally conservative financial clients.
Also notable is that the project lays the groundwork for "AI transformation," going beyond mere digitization. HCG's hunel is evolving into an automation platform with the addition of an 'AI HR Assistant'. As upcoming features such as AI talent search, a dashboard, and a year-end tax-settlement AI agent are rolled out, corporate HR management will shift from an administrator-centric model to a proactive, data- and AI-driven system—exactly aligning with the financial sector's urgency around digital transformation.
Kim Young-man, Executive Vice President of HCG hunel, said, "The financial sector demands the highest level of system stability and security in the industry. Building on our accumulated financial-sector implementation experience, we will continue to strengthen the capabilities our customers need and further advance HR services through user-experience innovation."......(hereafter omitted.)
